Andrea Chiu, PE, SE

Andrea Chiu is the Sales Engineer Lead for Vulcraft Verco Group, the joist and deck division of Nucor, where she focuses on business development through collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver better building solutions. Her work goes beyond joist and deck systems, emphasizing a holistic approach to building design and delivery that integrates engineering expertise with a strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain dynamics. Prior to joining Nucor, Andrea built her career in consulting as a licensed structural engineer in California, bringing over a decade of design experience to her current role.

She holds a master’s degree in structural and earthquake engineering from UCLA and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from UC Berkeley.
