Assistant Professor
at North Carolina State University
Andrew Ziccarelli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, and his master’s and doctoral degrees from Stanford University. His research focuses on the behavior of structural components and structural systems at extreme limit states, including fracture, fatigue, and buckling. His expertise is in the area of finite element analysis, where he has been involved in the development of models to predict and simulate fracture initiation, crack propagation, and inelastic buckling.
