Dr. Anil Agarwal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Hyderabad. His research focuses on the behaviour and design of structures under fire, impact, and earthquake loading, the development of fire-resistant structural solutions, and lightweight structural applications using FRP composites.
He completed his BTech and MTech at IIT Kanpur, where he contributed to the GSDMA project on revised earthquake design codes and commentaries. He earned his PhD from Purdue University in the area of structural fire engineering.
